Is your brain tired—or are you “lazy”? (5 minutes of reading time) [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]

Episode #173

Dear Reader !

Have you ever finished a busy day feeling exhausted… yet disappointed with what you actually achieved?

You answered messages. Attended meetings. Handled problems.

But the proposal remained unfinished.
The important decision got postponed.
And your family received whatever patience you had left.

So you told yourself, “I need more discipline.”

Perhaps.

But before you question your ambition, examine the daily habits supporting it.

You would never expect your phone to perform all day on 3% battery.

Yet somehow, you expect that from yourself.

Here are 7 simple brain-friendly habits to help you bring more intention to your energy, attention and work.

1. Finish meals feeling comfortable, not overloaded.

The Japanese idea of hara hachi bu encourages stopping before you feel completely full.

Treat it as a reminder to slow down and notice your fullness—not a mathematical test at the dining table.

Try this: Pause before taking a second helping. Ask, “Am I still hungry, or simply eating because it is there?”

2. Notice what you eat on autopilot.

The biscuits beside your laptop. The sweets between meetings. The snack you reach for when work feels difficult.

Sometimes, the first habit to change is simply eating without noticing.

Try this: Plan your workday snack in advance. Observe how you feel afterwards instead of assuming every quick bite helps you keep going.

3. Make water easy to remember.

Your calendar reminds you about every meeting.

What reminds you to pause and take care of yourself?

Try this: Keep water within reach and check in with your thirst during natural breaks. Let a visible bottle become a simple cue.

4. Walk away from the screen.

When an idea feels stuck, another twenty minutes of staring may not be the most useful next step.

Try this: Take a comfortable, phone-free walk with one question:

“What is the simplest next step here?”

Give yourself space to think without another voice, video or notification filling it.

5. Develop a rest ethic alongside your work ethic.

Being available late into the night can quietly become a badge of importance.

But an overflowing calendar is not proof of meaningful progress.

Try this: Choose a realistic time to stop working tonight. Write down tomorrow’s first priority before you close your laptop.

Let the task wait on paper instead of following you to bed.

6. Set boundaries around draining conversations.

Notice conversations that repeatedly become gossip, complaint or unnecessary conflict.

You can care about people and still set limits on your availability.

Try this: Use one respectful sentence:

“I want to give this proper attention. Let’s speak at a better time.”

Then protect the time you have committed to your work or family.

7. Practise completing before consuming.

One difficult task.
One quick scroll.
One more video.

Soon, the task is still difficult—and the hour is gone.

Try this: Complete one clearly defined piece of meaningful work before opening social media.

Send the proposal. Finish the page. Make the call.

Let progress come before the next distraction.

Napoleon Hill’s emphasis on definite purpose, organised planning and persistence offers a useful reminder:

A clear goal needs daily actions that support it.

That is the spirit behind Think & Grow Rich Academy: bringing principles into the ordinary decisions that shape your results.

YOUR NEXT 3 DAYS

Choose just one habit above.

Write:

“For the next three days, after ______, I will ______.”

Keep it small enough to practise on a busy day. Each evening, note whether you followed through and what you noticed.

POWER THOUGHT

“Your goals deserve the best of your attention—not just the last of your energy.”

Episode #171 Dear Reader ! Today.. I want to ask you a simple yet powerful question. A question many ambitious people silently carry inside them: “I am working hard. I am learning. I am using AI. I am ambitious. Then why is money still not showing properly in my bank account?” This is a powerful question. Because today, many people have access to tools. They have AI. They have information. They have courses. They have ideas. They have social media. They have opportunities. Yet, the bank...

Hey 🌟 Reader ✨Yesterday you discovered something important: Your life is not simply being controlled by what you KNOW. It is being influenced by what you repeatedly believe, feel and identify with.
